30 Life Lessons for Inspiration and Creativity: Day 9
Lesson 9: Confidence is a skill
Confidence is a skill . . . it can be developed. You are not born with it. You can though get better at it. What I’ve learned too, that often there is one or two things you need to change to be confident in a certain area. Confidence is not pride, although it can be perceived by some as such, but I wouldn’t worry too much about other peoples’ perceptions. Confidence can be boosted . . . it also thrives big time on past experiences. Whenever I get nervous about a shoot, I remember how good the past ones went, especially the ones I was scared about and I get confident to dive into yet another shoot. Confidence also thrives on encouragement from others. That’s why it’s crucial to surround yourself with people who care about you and your success. Confidence starts from my thinking and often it is just my thinking that needs to be changed and my confidence level rises. Confidence is something I cherish deeply because it allows me to do things I otherwise would have shied away from, and like a muscle it can be toned and stretched to accomplish more!
