The day I purposely leave my coat at home, move my umbrella to the trunk of my car, wear heels and park as far as possible from my destination to enjoy a pleasant walk, I end up running to my car in the rain in not so waterproof clothing and yes all the while wearing heels. I should have known it would rain because it always seems to every time I come to this Peet’s location. But the run and the cold splashes of rain were made up by an amazing double rainbow bending across the entire sky on my drive back home. This reminded me of how some things cannot be enjoyed without some discomfort at first. The days I lack motivation for work and have to do things I’m not so comfortable with, those are needed to reap benefits, to enjoy the fruit of your work, and to see the light reflected in stunning colors in whatever life endeavor one undertakes. I’ll leave you with a quote that keeps ringing in my mind from my business meeting right before the rain, “You cannot control your productivity, but you can control your activity!” Happy Tuesday!
